There is something about Christmas and the New Year that invites reflection and resets intentions. As 2025 drew to a close, the Selby team took stock of where we have come from and where we are going next. Instead of resolutions that fade, we chose practical steps that will support real growth in the year ahead.

The Selby head office is nearing the end of its renovations, creating a more functional base for our operations and partners. Roads around the site are being paved to improve access, movement, and overall site efficiency. Our new blueberry plants have already arrived and are being carefully potted for the coming season, reinforcing our commitment to premium, export‑ready fruit. At the same time, upgrades to our solar installations are approaching completion, moving us closer to a more resilient, sustainable energy footprint.

Alongside infrastructure, 2026 will see a stronger focus on training and capacity building. Our new conference and training room is almost ready to be furnished and finished, creating a dedicated space for workshops, technical sessions, and stakeholder engagement. For Selby, success is not just about our own performance, but about the strength and resilience of the wider community and value chain we work within.

We expect 2026 to introduce new projects, deeper partnerships, and an expanded programme of capacity‑building initiatives. As we invest in our farm, our people, and our systems, our goal is clear: to take Zimbabwe’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports to new heights and deliver consistent, premium quality to our markets.
